The vast majority of psychoanalysts this present day agree that the analytic environment faces them day-by-day with definite features in their paintings for which the solutions supplied through an analytic idea focused completely at the suggestion of illustration end up inadequate. at the foundation in their adventure of analytic perform and illustrated by way of interesting scientific fabric, C?sar and S?ra Botella got down to deal with what they name the paintings of figurability as a manner of outlining the passage from the unrepresentable to the representational. They strengthen a notion of psychic functioning, that is primarily grounded within the inseparability of the damaging, trauma, and the emergence of intelligibility, and describe the analyst's paintings of figurability coming up from the formal regression of his pondering throughout the consultation, which proves to be the simplest and maybe the one technique of entry to this country past the mnemic hint that is reminiscence with out recollection. The paintings of Psychic Figurability argues that taking this paintings into account on the center of the idea of perform is quintessential. with out this, the analytic procedure is just too usually at risk of slipping into interminable analyses, into destructive healing reactions, or certainly, into disappointing successive analyses.

This is another curious term that Freud was only to use in his work five times (The Interpretation of Dreams; ‘From the History of an Infantile Neurosis’) and, each time, like Darstellbarkeit, solely in relation to the dream. E. XVII, 29), said Serguei. Wirklichkeitsgefühl was to be translated as ‘feeling of reality’, a formulation that, in our opinion, does not render the full force of the German, even if one considers that here ‘feeling’ is used in the sense of effectivity, of a real act. However, although ‘feeling’, like the French translation sentiment, its equivalent, seem to be perfect translations, from the standpoint of the practising psychoanalyst, they remain unsatisfactory for they do not reflect the dazzling speed, the force of what is at stake psychically in grasping reality.

In the same vein, we could add ‘show’,‘exhibit’ (whence the use by Kant of Exhibitio instead of Darstellung). Or, and it is also religious, the term presentation at the temple; or again, with its reference to the social domain, that of being presentable. Exhibitio, presentation, presentability are all terms that contain the idea of ‘facing’. The Darstellbarkeit of the dream-work then loses its own specificity linking it with the world of dreams and is reduced to the action of ‘présenter’ specific to waking consciousness.

For his part, Freud, confronted with the unknown, resorts neither to God nor to reason; the epigraph of The Interpretation of Dreams applicable to his whole work, speaks volumes in this respect: Flectere si nequeo superos,Acheronta movebo [If I cannot bend the Higher Powers, I will move the Infernal Regions]. Freud, 1900: 608 Nevertheless, Freud remained attached to the positivism of the scientific thinking of his time. Like Darwin, faced with nature, he understood the functioning of the unconscious as a mechanism that is at once blind and formidably efficient.
